Dalitso Ruwe - NIAAS Core Group Member
Dalitso Ruwe was born and raised in Zambia. He will be pursuing his graduate degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M begin in the Fall of 2014. During his undergrad Dalitso was the recipient of the Dr King, Rosa Parks Community Engagement Award, and Outstanding Campus Student Leader. Dalitso is a big proponent of the Arts, Critical Pedagogy, Youth Culture as sites of critical engagement that challenge us to be true to legacies of liberation. Dalitso has served as the primary research assistant for MacFarland Press 2011 publication Jay-z Essays on Hip Hop’s Philosopher King. The Cultural Impact of Kanye West and Ruminations on Philosophy and Hip Hop all to be Published by Palgrave MacMillan Press in 2014.
